Scientifically-grounded phases from 0 to 72+ hours, each with biological markers like mTOR, AMPK, IGF-1, BDNF, and ketogenesis.
Get notified when your body enters a new biological phase. Know exactly what's happening inside — without checking the app.
Standalone watch app with CloudKit sync. Track your fast from your wrist with the same precision and clarity.
Glanceable progress on your home screen and lock screen. Small, medium, circular, rectangular, and inline formats.
Review past fasts with duration, goal achievement, and phase progression. Understand your patterns over time.
Choose from 4h, 12h, 16h, 24h, 48h, and 72h fasting goals — or fast without a target. Medical warnings for extended fasts.
Your body goes through distinct biological phases during a fast. Each phase activates different cellular mechanisms.
Your body processes the last meal. Insulin is elevated, glucose is being stored as glycogen.
Blood sugar stabilizes. The liver releases stored glucose. mTOR begins to decrease.
Glycogen stores are largely depleted. Your body switches to fat burning. AMPK is activated.
AMPK accelerates autophagy. Growth hormone rises 300–500%. Mental clarity increases.
Autophagy at high levels. Damaged proteins are aggressively recycled. BDNF continues to rise.
Autophagy reaches peak levels. The immune system renews itself. IGF-1 drops significantly.
All processes at high levels. Advanced cellular regeneration and improved stress resistance.
No. Autophagy Tracker is an informational tool based on published scientific research. It does not provide medical advice. Consult your physician before starting any fasting regimen, especially fasts exceeding 24 hours.
The watch app syncs via iCloud (CloudKit). Start a fast on your iPhone and it appears on your watch — and vice versa. Both devices must be signed into the same iCloud account.
No. The timer and all phase information work fully offline. An internet connection is only needed to sync between devices.
Autophagy Tracker requires iOS 17.0 or later. The Apple Watch app requires watchOS 10.0 or later.
Yes. All completed fasts are saved to your fasting history with duration, goal, and phase progression. You can review them anytime.

Autophagy Tracker collects no personal data. Your fasting data stays on your devices.
All fasting data (sessions, goals, history) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No data is sent to our servers — we don't operate any.
If you use the Apple Watch app, fasting data syncs between your devices via Apple's CloudKit. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is not accessible to us or any third party. Sync can be disabled in your device's iCloud settings.
Autophagy Tracker does not include any analytics frameworks, advertising SDKs, or tracking mechanisms. We do not collect:
Push notifications are processed entirely on-device using Apple's local notification system. No notification data leaves your device.
Autophagy Tracker uses no third-party services, SDKs, or APIs beyond Apple's system frameworks (SwiftData, CloudKit, WidgetKit, WatchKit).
This app is not intended for children under 17. Fasting should only be undertaken by adults or under medical supervision.
If we update this policy, changes will be reflected on this page. Since we collect no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
